Considering an H100

Thread Starter
I'm trying to decide whether to go with the H100 or stick with something like the Phanteks PH-TC14PE for cooling, and I've hit a brick wall in terms of comparable performance. I was able to get a baseline for the phanteks temperature on a 3770k @ 4.4ghz but when it came to finding similar data for the Corsair H100, I couldn't find anything.

Is anyone here running an H100 in a 3770k @ 4.4ghz? and if so, what are your load temperatures?

if you have the money for the h100, i would personally get an XSPC Rasa 360, or XSPC Raystorm 240 for just a little more.

Rasa 360
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12222/

Raystorm 240
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16891/

both of these will perform better than an h100, and are only a bit more.
as for the temps, i dont know

I can't do either of those kits -- both are incompatible with the prodigy. But thanks anyways.

try checking other forums, I know at least 1 person in evga forums who is using H100 for 3770K and Z77 FTW. as per temps I believe he runs 4.5-4.6GHz with temps around 75C. the highest I've seen him go with this cooler was 4.8GHz and temps over 92C when running IBT2.54 in MAX mode when using 4GB RAM (making short rounds in IBT), no idea what was his ambient room temperature though.

however, there is a problem with comparing 3770K temperatures, since intel used a unreliable application of TIM under IHS on those chips, some of them run extremely hot reaching thermal limits at 4.7GHz on some even with custom water cooling, while for others (also depending on overclockability of certain batches) it's no problem to run 5GHz on water with temps below 90C ... those chips are incomparable thermal wise even at same speed and vcore (TIM could be still better on some than others).
