Looking to buy new cpu help - Page 2

i think the only thing you need is a little oc - like say - 4GHz.

that board is decent and just needs these things . . .

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835708012

put them in the highlighted area . . .

if that is your board.

not sure what cooler you have but a cooler master 212 evo for about $40 will cool it enough.

edit: wait . . . $250? shoot, get yourself a H100 cpu cooler.

BTW, Gigabyte might give you the proper heatsinks for those mosfets for free. give them a call.your board has holes for it.thumb.gif

Yea sure i have to buy a new motherboard so why not

Shoot me a PM, we'll work something out. smile.gif

This would be a good temp fix, but if the OP has to buy a new board i'd suggest skipping spending money on a H100 and go for the syncs + Hyper 212+/Evo or similar then wait and get a chaeper Z77 board + 3570k/3770k. It's a fair bit more but it's better then the 1090t. I'd suggest overclocking it first, what are you trying to run on it?
