a 1 gallon jug inside the HVAC frame.

The heat exchanger in the frame

A 120mm fan compared to my 10" fans

One fan and the heat exchanger
That's an 18x12 inch heat exchanger with two 10" fans pushing a ton of air (600cfm/ea.).
So you would need five of those to flash cool... That's a lot of radiators!
I wanna see this happen! biggrin.gif

That puts it in perspective,

It gets worse, that would only put your cpu at ambient with 5 of those since its one loop (ie your loop would be 10c hotter than ambient), you would probably want quadrouple that to get your water dt as close to ambient as possible.

I would say you'd need at least 20 of those rads to really see an impact. lol.. thats awsome..

Been away for a few days, talked to my father who works in refrigeration. We came to the same conclusion that some people here got to aswell...

Heh.

So yes, the theory does work, the numbers are off, but the design is sound (on paper), provided I had some 20+ 400w modules and a radiator the size of a wall.

But you can have both sides of a TEC in a single loop, it doesn't just magically cancel the other one out loop placement makes a difference. and in my particular design, there would be no difference between a single and a dual loop, because the peltier is too underpowered to chill a 285w CPU plus a 150w+ radiator.

Damn laws of physics, they're always causing me problems! who invented them anyway!

I still want a peltier setup though, but I will not be going down the flash cooling, single loop path.

I'll be giving REP's to at least Krow and Mindchi|l, they're the ones to listen to here...
