Looking for a Mechanical KB

Hello forums,

So before I decided only to upgrade my headphones to better ones, but after discovering good headphones for around $30, I decided to get myself a Mech Kb moving from a old dell rubber dome. Problem is I don't want to spend over $70.

Most of the recommendation I'm getting are the Quickfire Rapid and the BW.

Red, Blues, and Browns are all switches that I've tried and loved. I'd love a tenkeyless design, which the Quickfire has, but I dislike the keyboard itself aesthetically. (Gray body.) I would very much rather get the Red switches for a black body, but I don't want to spend any higher.

Should I get the BW? or are there any recommendation out there that would satisfy my needs smile.gif. I mostly play RTS and not much FPS. I wish the Quickfire Rapid had a black body alternative for blue/brown switches.. =/ the gray body is just ugly to me.

I've tried black alps and blues before but didn't really like the feel of them. I'm in love with my Model M though. It's a really great keyboard and can be found for a decent amount online. Plus the build quality of these are incredible. I swear I saw a video of a guy running over one and it still being fine. You probably won't like the grey/tan aesthetics but there's a much more expensive black version called the Model M13. Not really worth it.

If you're not interested in that, I'd personally get the Quickfire. I was looking at it recently cause I've never tried browns.

Thanks for your suggestion, I'm thinking about getting the Quickfire with the blue switches. One question though, I kinda want to get these key caps, will these be compatible with the keyboard?

Will any key cap that has "Cherry MX" work?

The QF Rapid with red switches does have a black body, and the newer ones have the branding removed from the top side of it.
