I believe I meant to say that you have no disgust against bay reseviors as much as the circle design.

huh?

Edit: I'm not sure I know what the chance of this was: I read the mouse-over-thread-preview on the front page and saw your response and thought 'hmm that could be to me' not recognizing your name or anything... that was epic biggrin.gif

we need a EKWB suggestion thread.

i would love to see:

slim radiators,

one sided waterblock designs (not something like acryl+nickel, that wont make either side of the buyers happy),

and a new res+pump combo without circle and a sleeved cable now that you (EKWB) move back to non circle design again

To be fair, everyone hating on the circles design haven't seemed to consider why EK did it in the first place; plain blocks look worse than their circles ever did. I hated it for quite a while, but turned after using a few of the blocks. I think it could definitely use some touch-up and changes at times though, and in general think they could apply the circle design less uniformly for more attractive looks.

With that said, they really messed up on a number of their designs all the same. The new HD 7970 blocks were pretty pants-on-head retarded; literally the only flagship-card that generation that could be single-slot, and they forced it to be a dual-slot card whatever your plans were lol. And the CSQ bay-resses are being far too silly with the circles. It completely disregards the casedesign of mostly everyone's PCs.

As for their plating issues, people seem to be talking as if this continues to be a problem. Would you please source these recent issues? I haven't paid much attention to things, but I'm very curious if it's actually still a problem.

Not sure if it is still a issue but the fact is they did have a issue that was caused by the lack of care for their work and their customers. So it probably won't be the last time they play this game and surely was not the first time either..

as for people talking like its till a problem this is a necroed thread

No.

Don't grave dog old threads. Go to EK think cell if you want EK to see your ideas. It's an official sub-site for people who want to suggest ideas to them. Google it.
