Lol... You guys don't know how to flash correctly. You can easily fix that bricked bios. Once I get home, I can post on how to do it. Its not easy to do it on my phone. frown.gif

I've flashed my 7950 with BIOS from other 7950s and even 7970s. The trick to fixing the bricked BIOS is to use the working bios to boot up to your bootable USB (not to windows) and switching to the bricked BIOS right before you flash. If you bricked both BIOS, then you need an iGPU or another GPU to flash both bricked BIOS.

Man I don't know what I did wrong frown.gif, I followed all the steps on Gigabyte's website " how to reflash bios" http://www.gigabyte.com/WebPage/40/index.htm and used the Easy Boost Utility but the Bios flashing failed frown.gif. Okay I'll be waiting for your post to see how to fix and reflash my Bios. Now I'm with the backup Bios but I don't want to touch anything until I'm sure what to do xd.
And actually I flased my motherboard Bios but I'm having troubles with flashing Gpu Bios thinking.gif

That's one way to do it, but when you do it through Windows, it sometimes has complications, which can lead to what you're experiencing. Don't worry though, many of us have had bad experiences and learning how to fix them is what makes us better people. Let me pull up a few guides/links so you can get it fixed. thumb.gif

==========================================================================================

Edit: So you will need a USB flash drive and ATIFlash 3.99. Also use these boot files in order to make your USB bootable. Next you need to save or download your orignal/stock BIOS and place it in the USB, just make sure to name it a simple name.

Afterwards, you can basically follow these steps: http://www.overclock.net/t/640063/unofficial-how-to-flash-ati-cards/0_30

Remember, the trick is to boot up to the USB/ATIFlash with your working BIOS and then flip the BIOS switch to the bricked BIOS before you enter the command to flash.

Let me know if you run into problems or have any questions, it was a bit confusing my first time around. wink.gif

Man thanks for your help. I was looking at the post " how to flash ati cards" but I can't watch the screenshots there, I can only watch a small square with a question mark and I can't follow the steps very well frown.gif.
Look, I have all the tools I think. The HP usb disk storage format tool, Ati Flash 3.99, the new Bios , and my USb smile.gif. Right now I'm formating my usb and copying to it the bootable files and my original Bios. Okay I think I've done at least the 50% of the process right ? hehe, I'm confused what to do next, when booting from the usb.., the commands , please help smile.gif.

To boot from your USB, just press F8 after you power on your computer and it should bring up the boot menu, if not keep resetting until you get it. Select your USB from there and it should boot you to DOS/ATIFlash.

1) Typing:
Code:
atiflash.exe -i
will get your device ID for your card. You will use this for the next step:

2) Then this is where you move the switch to your bricked BIOS and type the following:
Code:
atiflash.exe -f -p 0 newbios.bin
Use the number you got from the first step instead of 0 if it is different. Also change the name to whatever you named your BIOS. For me, I named my BIOS "stock.bin". Wait until it is successful and then it will reboot.

There should be a bin file of just the F3 BIOS, so you can flash it this way if you want to try it out.

Man thanks, I think I'm almost done. Okay, hmm about the bios file, in mycase the isn't any ".bin" file, the original Bios I backed up with Gpu Z is named "Tahiti.rom" and in Type it says " ROM File". So..... in the command line should I write "atiflash.exe -f -p 0 tahiti.rom " ?smile.gif I'm almost done but I just want to make sure...

Man forget what I said before ! Flashing was succesful following your easy 2 steps! Now i fixed my bricked Bios and actually I flashed it again and now Bios 2 has the new F3 from Gigabyte smile.gif. Increase d core clock to 1000mhz and now the CCC let me go up to 1200mhz core. Now I'll test some stability playing BF3 and other stuff smile.gif. Thanks man you rockk biggrin.gif!! It was easier than I expected thumb.gif

Thanks Kokin! I used your guide there and got the new BIOS flashed on. +Rep

The new bios is absolutely amazing as now I do not need any other program to OC. It comes with a slightly higher VDDC than I was using and right in the CCC I can run 1200/1575 (I had my memory at 1650 but it is not a huge difference).

biggrin.gif

Also there is no boost feature on this card as from what I can see they just up the default core clock to 1000mhz just like anyone else would overclocking. They could call it a boost because it is, but I think it is different from the actual boost feature found on some other cards. I, however, prefer this method as we are always getting the full power rather than it kicking in at certain times. This makes sure we have the most fluid gaming experience. thumb.gif

Wow great to see excellent results and thanks for the rep! I'm actually quite jealous since my 7950 doesn't clock that well on air.

Enjoy overclocking! thumb.gif
