Question : I recently updated to the F3 BIOS for my card and was just n otified thatr the F3 BIOS was pulled from your site and the F2 BIOS was put back up. I am wondering why the F3 BIOS was pulled as I am running it right now and am wondering if there is any reason I should flash back to the F2 BIOS if everything is running seemingly ok.

Please tell me why the BIOS was pulled specifically (you can get very technical with me).

Thank you for your time.

Answer : Dear Customer,

Depending on LOT# on the card, not all cards uses the same bios.
We will check if there was F3 on our website and why it was removed, any issue you are encountering with the card currently?

Question : I have some black flickering in games and also notice that the card does not run at full speed in some games, but it is locked at 60FPS so I don't know if that is a bug or a power saving feature.

How could you not know that you offered an F3 BIOS for one of your cards which is now pulled? That is quite a disconnect in the company there...

hello there.

I am currently running 2 of these cards in crossfire, both having F3, upgraded from F2, They are working just fine, running both at full speed (1000Mhz) at 120Hz on a Samsung monitor. To flash them I used atiflash on a USB stick. Have you got any issues before upgrade? Switch to F2 (bios switch) and see if happens the same.

Observations: the main card is not going over 1.112 Volts and it runs hotter than the secondary one (usually +7 degrees difference). Using a good airflow and a custom fan profile in catalyst (for gaming only fans for the main card are set at 65%) I managed to keep the main card under 72 degrees.

The secondary card is running cooler (around 64 degrees) but in games stays at 1.25 Volts, which I find strange. It does not matter if I switch the cards, the secondary runs at 1.25 V, the main at 1.112 V (no more).

Regards

Guys, just a quick question. What would be the max temp that i should get with this card?
Currently the highest this card ever hit was 60C.

VRMs get a bit hotter than the core does and apparently it is fine. I remember someone saying that even in the ~90C range they are fine, but don't quote me on that.

According to their support team there was never an F3 BIOS. They are clearly extremely disconnected from the engineers or extremely incompetent... or maybe both. mad.gif

Absolute rubbish on their part. If they didn't make the best cards in the game I wouldn't buy from them next time from this experience, but hey IMHO everyone else is second best with build/quality/performance/price so I guess they can get away with it. redface.gif

BTW on F3 with 12.11 b11 and running 1200/1600 with no voltage tweaks and completely STABLE and no DX9 issues. thumb.gif

Only problem is that the 12.11 b11 driver reintroduced the old monitor sleep of death bug - when monitor goes to sleep at the behest of the system sometimes the whole pc becomes completely unresponsive. I remeber it was an issue around the 12.7 time, but haven't experienced it in a few months until now. mad.gif
