The latest version, with the checksum counter solved my problem! Picture is back in BIOS, before Windows drivers kick in. So it must be my mobo, which checks the checksum and doesn't output picture without the correct checksum! Nice piece of software, that tool! thumb.gif

Yea this worked great on my locked WF3 7950 and I going to try it on the other 2 shortly. I didnt even read the vrm type but seems to be stable and voltage control is there as well as more powertune. thumb.gif + rep for posting this man.

The best test of stability is to get occt 4.4.0
Make sure your catalyst is set to use application settings for AA and morphological and vsync.

Run occt 440, gpu:3d,
directx11
res custom 480 x 480
NOfull screen error check on
shader complexity 6
fps limit 0
memory used, leave unchecked

This will find errors where games may not. In some cases, games won't show errors until a driver update, I think because newer drivers better utilize the card- more load.
Occt is like the worst case scenario, and 480x480 catches errors the fastest for me.
I can run all day at 1050 at stock 1.09v in games, but in OCCT I max out at 1010, which is fine for me.
I'd rather know that I never will have errors, than to cross my fingers and wish it doesnt crash, lol.

Hi MSuomi, what latest version are you talking about, the modding software?

I'm confused because I did match the checksums in the versions I made... that's one thing I always do. Or were you using your own custom bios?

Yes, the latest version of VBE7 0.0.6 with changelog:

Changes in version 0.0.6

now VBE7 recalculates the BIOS checksum, no need to use the -f (force flashing) parameter

When I modded the original FX1--bios saved from my card with this latest version, it just works. With earlier it did not. Maybe it's the bios implementation of my mobo.

all you geniuses here that know how to edit bios!! i am very very happy with robnitro's modded bios for my WF3, but i am now trying to get an undervolted BIOS to work on my Vapor-X OC 7950's.... i have the bios file myself, and i have tried following a tutorial on how to mod the bios to 0.962v, and that is what i am trying to do. If anyone here would be willing to mod the bios for me i would be forever indebted, and i would greatly appreciate it! ive screwed up my bios position 1 already trying to this this myself... here is the bios file i need edited

Strange. It seems, that if I put machine to sleep or display turns off, it resets the power control to 0. Which sets the speeds to 501 in middle of games... Damn! Why the h*** there is these problems all the time? I even installed the latest betas again, no help. Now, every time after I wake machine up, I have to go to fiddle with the power settings from CCC... Great...

I know about bug when GPU/Vram gets underclocked in game when scenes are not very complicated. Can you say which games are affected in your case?

Well, from really easy, like Walking death to Crysis 3, Furmark and anything between biggrin.gif
Ulps is not off. Power Control needs to be something around 30 for it to NOT downclock. And in the CCC it IS in 50%, where I put it. But not in reality. I have to apply the setting again for it to work (after waking from sleep or waking from when display has been sleeping...)
And it did not do this earlier... I really am tempted to RMA this card. Too much fighting with it mad.gif
