After I broke both BIOS, I placed the card on the second PCI-e and I booted with a GTX460. Then, the AtiWinFlash worked fine on the unlocked BIOS on position 1 . Then, I removed the GTX, I placed the 7950 on the first PCI-e but I couldn't boot either.

Aaaand.... That was the time I went back to Windows 7 tongue.gif I formatted Windows 8 and did a re-installation. Now everything is working fine. I've to find a way to flash the locked BIOS on position ( 2 ).

I'm glad you were able to recover it!
I was wondering because even though I have the bios switch, I can flash both positions. So, if I mix them up, I might bum a flash on the backup.
Anyone know how to lock the backup bios so atiflash doesn't overwrite it?
How did you flash the locked BIOS when the switch is in position 2? With AtiFlash or AtiWinFlash or... ?

By the way, I see the latest Gigabyte utility is using some version of AtiFlash... I'm not sure, though.

Now I boot with the working, unlocked F43 BIOS and should be easy to just switch to the broken, locked one and flash it in Windows -if I find a way to bypass the lock.

I've been down the same route of bricking both BIOSes with F43. To get the locked '2' BIOS to flash I booted from USB in DOS mode and used

ATIFLASH -UNLOCKROM 0
ATIFLASH -F -P 0 BIOS.BIN

Bios.bin is the original firmware, 0 should be 1 for second card in crossfire.

Thanks, man. The thing is, I don't have a damn usb stick currently tongue.gif That's what I'll do when I'll find one.

By the way, Gigabyte is extremely irresponsible company. Since they provide everything on their site, people expect to be working. At least, in this case, just make it block the process... What it actually does? It flashes the half thing and then stuck? Damn it, again.

I never had to do unlockrom switch. Atiflash flashed the backup bios, my mistake, and I was shocked I could do this. How do I lock one of the bioses??
Tried F43 but it made my POS card even more unstable so I had to go back to F3.

Pal, normally the F43 is for those who had F41 or F42 BIOS... If you card came with F2 or F3, wait for F4.

My card came with F42 but the display driver was crashing with even the smallest of overclocks so i've been trying the other BIOS versions.

Then why didn't you send immediately back the card?

Ah, you said when overclocked, O.K. If you don't have reason to send it back, try the artifacts on Dx9 games. Record a video and send it...
