New Bios update for gigabyte HD7950 ! - Page 4

In your thread you say "non-GE" but here you say GE. Which is it? I just tried a GE and catalyst 12.8 whql wouldn't even recognize the card.

Yeah I tried that one too. Catalyst doesn't even recognize my card. Might have something to do with the fact that I have a F21 bios card... Might RMA, so far I havent been able to make it through bf3 for more than 10 minutes without a crash at anything above 1000 mhz.

I just flashed this F3 bios and now I have the option to push it to 1200 mhz, but no matter what I do in Afterburner or Overdrive my card idles at 800 mV and maxes at 1055 mV. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...

^ Why RMA when you can easily just flash the older BIOS back? It's a waste of your time and money shipping it for RMA.

Hey guys! I'll update about my Hd7950 with this new Bios smile.gif. Actually everything is working fine, I'm very happy because I don't have to bother increasing my voltage in Afterburner or any other software. I just move the sliders in CCC and that's it! I can overclock to 1140mhz core and 1575mhz (memory is maxed out, maybe I can go higher ) perfectly stable playing BF3 multiplayer on Ultra settings. I'm satisfied with this overclock, I don't mind going higher and tweaking voltages because I don't need more performance. This Bios is working great so far, and yes, it improved the stability overall. Well done Gigabyte thumb.gif.

Well I don't think you should have troubles if you flash de Bios from a bootable Usb and with Ati Flash 3.99. It's the safest way to go smile.gif . Go ahead and flash it, even if something goes wrong, you have a 2nd backup Bios.
