New Bios update for gigabyte HD7950 ! - Page 54

Hello I was wondering if there is anyone that could help me out flashing my card. I'm pretty sure someone has already posted it but this thread has over 50 pages and I don't feel like going every single one of them. If there is anyone that could help me out and point me out what should I do (what to download*). I'm currently @F43 BIOS and it works alright but I would like to give it a try and get myself a newer version. So first of all which one should I download? Since there is more then just one version from what I've seen. FX1 & FY1. Which one should I go with? Can someone link me a decent tutorial on how to? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Don't bother to download these new bioses - they will break your HDMI(tested). I'm currently using F43 myself and it is may be the best bios for now.

I'm not using HDMI.

I'd stick with F43 and just use MSI AB to overclock - that is what I did in the end after bouncing around some BIOS versions.

ALSO I WOULD IKE TO REPORT that F2 anf F3 has my vram at 1.6v and flashing over to F43 took it down to 1.5v and I have notived that I am stable at my previous clocks (1600) and have less flickering/z-fighting issues which I especially in Far Cry 3 at the time of the change over. The lower voltage actually made things better believe it or not, haha! biggrin.gif

F2 then I went to F3 and then to F43 and I am going to stay with F43 and my MSI AB clocks/voltage I think. Pretty happy where I am at now. The card idles about 10c cooler than it did on F3, lol.

I've been messing with my card some more. The droop is no where near as high ingame, its higher in heaven. I was playing crysis 2 earlier at 1200 core, but its complete overkill because it runs at 120 fps.

Hey guys ! I have just installed the new FX1 bios but I have a problem. The GPU crashes when it tries to switch to 3D Mode. Also the defaut voltage is 1.25v ?!? This is waaay to much for defaut voltage. Any ideas ?

it is normal to be 1.25V. All GB GHz bioses work with 1.25. What was your default bios? I was read that FW0 bios cards don't work with these new bioses.
