New Bios update for gigabyte HD7950 ! - Page 61

What is the difference between F3 and F43 BIOS? Is F3 any stable or even better then F43? Because I was looking at this website (http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/) and F43 is missing from the list. But when I take a look at the official page from Gigabyte (http://www.gigabyte.cz/products/page/vga/gv-r795wf3-3gd/download/bios) I can't find any info on F3. Any idea?

Nobody updates the F43, because it is still on GB official site. F3 is GHz bios and F43 is not. I like F43 most of all other bios versions.
F3 was removed from GB a long time ago.

I have the F2 BIOS and tried to OC with it, and it went horrible. Could only get 980/1400 to be stable,,,for a couple of hours only. Then started to give me crazy artifacts and shutters. It's voltage locked so couldnt do nothing either.
Do i just have a really bad chip here?

Cards that originally come with the F2 BIOS should not be voltage locked as they are the original batch and none of them were voltage locked (I have an original F2 card). You must be doing something wrong. I flashed F3 and ran my current clocks for a while, but then flashed F43 and now run my original OC I got on F2 (1200/1600) @ 1.225v and F2 had 1.6v on the memory while F43 has 1.5v on the memory and it seems to be just fine.

How are you overclocking?

Yea i just went thru looking the fourm and saw someone mention how to get that "grayed out" voltage to not be grayed out. I was using MSI Afterburner to OC and now i unlocked the voltage control in MSI AF settings and can mess with the voltages.

My initial going about to OC the card was: Get Afterburner, get Heaven. Have Heaven running while i keep moving the memory clock little by little till i get crashes or any weird issues. Same thing with memory clock. Am i doing it correct?

Right now my card is at 900/1250 @ 1.031v.
