New Bios update for gigabyte HD7950 ! - Page 78

If this bios is working so well for people, maybe I should post it on the main forum as an unlocked bios for v2 cards?

I know with my v1 card, if I flash the newer bios for sapphire, his, etc... it kills my hdmi just like the newer gigabyte, which indicates to me that there is a different hardware setup on the card.

Also the voltage registers on v2 card bios like fy fx, don't have the steps I can change, but what I did was mod the asic table, which somehow unlocked your cards!

Is there a significant difference between your FX1 and FY1? The fan issues are nothing to do with your BIOS and can be easily sorted by a custom fan profile but since the FX1 modded BIOS let me unlock my voltage and the HDMI still works, I was curious if FY1 offers anything better?

As it stands:

OLD - Stock FX1 BIOS - 1000 Core Clock, 1250 Memory Clock, 1.250V
CURRENT - Modded FX1 BIOS - 1100 Core Clock, 1375 Memory Clock, 1.125V

Not sure how far to push it, never OC'd a GPU before

Ah, didn't realise you had a V1 card. Mine must be V2; Bought it less than a week ago, 6+8 pin board.

Do atiflash -p -f 0 XXXXXX.FY1. The -f forces the flash but please make 100% sure you're flashing the right version!

You're welcome. I'm using FY1 at the minute, 1150 GPU clock and 1450 memory clock at 1.150V.

so with that modded bios you are able to move the voltage slider up and down ?? so whats the idle voltage?? and only with trixx 4.6 ?

can some one provide me a full guide on how to flash this modded bios ?? never flashed anything.
