naw im just doing regular push and plain exhaust.

just checked to make sure a fan would fit in push with my tall ram :/ but yea it would

so i ordered a SP120 for push on my heatsink and a AF120 as exhaust since there is no pull fan there is enough clearance for it to do a good job exhausting hot air biggrin.gif

itll be a marked improvement on the EVO. the static pressure alone will draw
the air in harder. i used the performance and under-volted them to noise tolerance.
the corsair SP/AF series are a deffo wicked fan to use..

glad to hear good opinions on them. doesnt seem like many people on this site have used or even tested them out before so im pretty excited about it. they have great reviews on other computer forums but get barely any attention here for some reason

does anyone know how loud the sp120 performance-models will be with a fancontroller? i ordered 3x sp120, a NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller and a noctua nh-d14 on a sale a couple of weeks ago, got them all at 50 % off biggrin.gif but the nh-d14 wasn't in stock, so i'm still waiting... mad.gif

not sure you are the first person on ocn i have seen mentioning that they even got the SP120 performance much less on a fan controller.

the youtube reviews i have seen of these fans show that they seem to do very very well on a controller or straight into the mobo. my deciding factor was when every video review i saw the person said they are a freak about quiet fans and they started the review with low expectations from a corsair fan and ended up being blown about by the noise and performance of these

lol well definitely make a post about how you like them and all that good stuff.

im gathering screen shots of all my stuff at stock right now. i have a shot of my idle temps as well as temps after folding all night and now im running prime95 blend for like 10 mins to get a shot of my temps from that. then ill do the same when my fans get here to compare for anyone else that has also wondered about these fans biggrin.gif

will do thumb.gif although there might not be any reason to compare a H80 with noctua-fans against a nh-d14 with 3x sp120's rolleyes.gif but i can always compare them to the noctua's, and overall feel smile.gif
