LED Lighting questions / BitFenix Spectre Pro 230mm Mod

Thread Starter
Greetings!

After looking locally for a 230mm Orange Spectre Pro ( for a future Case Mod....will make Log when I finalize plans ) I have come to the conclusion that if I want one I will have to MAKE one. WIth that thought in mind I am going to order either a red or a clear 230mm Spectre Pro and change out the LED bulbs for some Orange ones on ebay.

Now keep in mind I have NEVER done anything like this before and I REALLY do not know what I am doing. ( after 40 yrs you would think I do but I have never modified anything like this. LOL!!!! )

Thing is....there are some things that I have no idea how to understand. 5000 or 8000MCD ratings? 3mm or 5mm? How to measure it to find out ( length or width and from which point do I measure? )

Also has anyone taken apart a 230mm Spectre Pro with that frame around it?

Thank you for your time. Please keep it polite in here. thumb.gif

Not sure on the MCD...but the 3 or 5mm is the width of the LED...pm'd about the spectre fans...

When you said width do you mean width from a sideways perspective or a side to side?
The diameter or side to side...not the length.
