What about cable? I mean wire and bananas

Logan, I get what you are saying then....so similar within certain limits...I wouldnt pair my center with kipschorns either haha.

Jose, there are people in both camps when it comes to cable. Some believe that cable makes a big difference in sound quality while others dont.

I am in the camp that you should get good cable....but I dont think you need to spend tons on it for the solid silver junk.....dont get me wrong it is good cable. But measurements dont support that it makes anny difference.

I have bought all my cables from bluejeanscable.com and have been nothing but happy with the service and quality of the product.

I'm with you on the cables. Don't buy that gimmiky stuff at best buy.

The biggest thing to me about cable is that you want it to not add any appreciable resistance, otherwise you'll loose volume on the channels that have longer cable runs.

I just go to the local home depot/lowes and get generic speaker wire by the foot. I usually spring for between 12 gauge and 16 gauge and then cut it to length myself. Works excellent.

And bananna plugs are useful, but not required. I like them on the receiver end of my speaker wire, because thats where its harder to work with.

Good luck smile.gif.

Mad & Logan,
thanks for refering to me.
I've read some about silver even for connecting to 115v power.
Does anyone knows about Oxigen Free Cable? Is It real?
Living in México makes all really expensive to do. Of course dificult
I use a 16 cable with bananas (tightened with screws) on Amps rear.
No one belives me (except Yamahas Hi-Fi Expert) when i Told him that stained twisted ends of cables to connect speakers increases (I really belive It) tweeters clarity or brightnes (If permited to say so) Has anyone done something like that? Has anyone noticed somthing similar? Am I getting crazy?
Some one is selling an Audiotechnica bipolar cable with 5mm separation to connect main speakers for about 18 bucks/foot What I consider madness. Does anyone knows about this cable?
The point is He really sells them and there must be a reason. And 8 spades similar to Vampire make.
Any?
