Is my R4 SDHC Dual Core FAKE?

I haven't really tested this out yet. I bought this for my upcoming Nintendo 3DS Christmas gift and I was planning on going legit on 3DS games but I heard R4s have capabilities to run music, videos and e-books, and DS games and what not so I bought this.

I can say this would work completely FINE with it's stock firmware but what if I upgraded it's firmware? Is this compatible? and last thing, can I brick my friend's DSLite and my upcoming 3DS?!

NOTE: IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE SD CARD READER! the saleslady said that I should buy her "SD CARDS" in order for it to work, but I think any SD cards would. Right? She must be scamming me.

Steer clear of flashcards until someone releases a hardware revision compatible with the current firmware.

Almost, if not all flashcards currently on the market have been hardware blocked by the latest firmare update.
Will last until 2015!
