[ROCCAT]ROCCAT to Unleash Gaming Titans with Launch of New Mega Mice

ROCCAT has tapped the Kone XTD to be the successor to the legendary Kone[+] gaming mouse, packing the XTD with a hefty increase in the already formidable capabilities of the Kone[+] – while keeping the beloved Kone design completely intact. The German manufacturer also kept the legendary Kone form when designing the Kone Pure – but slimmed it down to 91% the size of the Kone[+], while also adding more competition-crushing power to the original Kone[+] performance specs.

Keeping the world famous Kone design when creating the new Kone models was extremely important, says ROCCAT, because legions of Kone fans worldwide have shown such a strong devotion to it.

ROCCAT engineers designed the ultra-sleek Lua, meanwhile, to deliver superb combat performance to gamers of all hand sizes.

Looks good. My Kone+ has lasted well.

Cant wait till the kone XTD is released, I have had my kone v2 for about 3 years and it still works surprisingly, Its been bashed around more than any other mouse i have had too.

Did want to get a kone + at the start of the year but i knew they were gonna make another mouse and also the kone + didnt have a braided cable.

I recently retired my Roccat Kone[+] in favour of a Logitech G500, because the scrolling wheel started to behave weirdly, and the right click started to double-click by itself. Good mouse, but build quality needs improving; I RMA'd it even once before.

The Lua is the only vaguely interesting looking mouse of the bunch, and I can already tell that it's not for me since I prefer at least one side button. I have no idea what sort of sensor it might use that will feature 7 steps, but they're probably interpolated since I can't think of any optical sensor off the top of my head that can do nearly that many natively.

I'll say this much about Roccat mice - I love their scroll wheels. If I could get one of their scroll wheels in the IMO 1.1a shell with the Zowie EC1 Evo's sensor, I'd be in heaven.

On further reflection, even the Lua isn't likely to interest me. Roccat has a nasty habit of putting their sensors off-center, which REALLY screws with my small precision movements. They did this on the Pyra I quickly returned, and they've also done it on all iterations of the Kova. Given that the Lua is a similar shape to those two mice, if they put the sensor off-center yet again I can safely ignore this mouse as well.

I've always wanted a ROCCAT but they have just been too damn hard to find here in the US and too expensive. I settled on my Logitech Gx9 since then. Perhaps next paycheck I can snag one of these.

same here, i'd like to try mice in my hand and get a feel for the ergonomics before actually buying. the Kone Pure looks nice though.

8200 dpi laser sensor.

Sounds like crap.
