Help in small powerhouse assembly

Hello all!

I'm trying to build myself a new mini itx case.

I've already built one in an itek kiwie case http://www.overclock.net/t/1212594/second-attempt-with-the-itek-kiwi

Now I would like to build a new one based on amd techonology

This is the hardware involved:

Case: Q6 mini with 120w + 120w power brick http://www.pulse-eight.com/store/products/100-q6-mini-itx-black.aspx

Mb: Gigabyte GA-A75N USB3 mini itx

Cpu: Amd A8-3820 65w

Ram: 2x corsair 1866mhz 4gb

Hdd: 2.5 seagate 500gb 7200rpm

Cooling: 12x12x1 SCYTHE SLIP STREAM SLIM 2000 RPM (laid on the cpu heatsink)

I've assembled everything and it works well (very tight tho)temps ok varying from 44 to 50

But I have a problem: yesterday i tried to test it against OCCT power supply benchmark, and full load temps
It was going well, with the power consumption going from 70 to 100w and temps to 60/65ish

Certain point the computer suddenly shut down... and there was no way of powering it up again. The power had reached 108w (which is sort of ok as I was expecting to concede max 112/115w to stay on the safe side), cpu temp 68° (max declared is 74°) and mobo was quite high, almost 40°.

This morning I tested it again, but no dice... blank screen..
In the end I removed everything and installed it in a cabinet case..no luck
I tried to install an old pci express radeon 4300... signal!!

Removed the card... onboard card and everything working as it was...

Any ideas about what went wrong?
I have an idea that it might be the psu....

It sounds like the psu , I don´t think those little ones like OCCT much.
Do you have any specs or photos of it ? normally the PSUs that come with cases are garbage with the few exceptions like Antec etc.
Of course the other problem being it will sometimes fry other components ,
Your saying the IGP gives no display but a GPU does ? makes me wonder if it´s possible to just fry the IGP on these APUs

Ps can you post some photos of the inside of this build, I´d like to see how it turned out.

The Igp is working now, after a succesful boot with a gfx....

It might even be that the electrical protection messed up the bios settings going from onboard => gfx

The psu is a E-mini Lr 1005 120W 12VDC

I've tested it succesfully with my other pc that has the same Psu ( in sig) and it reached 98W - no problem at all

I'm going to reinstall it in my mini itx case so I can take some photos... hope it all goes well
