If you're thinking about selling to a bencher because of the max multi, I don't think there will be many takers. x53 just isn't that high. 4.8ghz stable sounds nice so I'll go with £175

4.8Ghz on 1.4v is actually very high for a 2700k

My old 2500k did 5Ghz at 1.38v! ( Also had a max multiplier of x55 and would be 5.5Ghz benchmark stable at 1.5v )

Most 2700k do it at that or lower.

Also 3770K will not OC more then 4.8Ghz keep that in mind even under water. Temps and the CPU itself will limit you.

This is just wrong. Way wrong. I7's are far more stubborn when you're aiming for 5.0+. A 2700k that runs 5.0 stable with proof at 1.4v or less is a commodity indeed. Mr. Frosty you have a nice chip and I think you're a touch spoiled now.

your 5.1 needed close to 1.6v according to the 5ghz thread... The best 3770K on water/air in the club at the moment needed around 1.75v for 5.4ghz. Pretty far from the 24/7 usable stuff the person you were quoting was talking about.

im at 1.54 atm 1.6v was just what i started at to work my way down from...

And using software in windows and getting a cpuz is not like being stable like i am.
