New setup.

Thread Starter
Hello all.

I want to build a new water cooled system. Is been so long sense I built one and everything has changed.
I am looking for an advice on what setup should I go with. I would like to stick with aqua computer if possible...
Right now I own a aquaero 5 XT so I wanted to be compatible with that.
I also know that I would like it to be ether modular if possible and with quick detach instead of clamps....

My current specs.

EVGA Z68 SLI Micro.
Core i5 2500k
EVGA 470 GTX
Enermax 980 Revolution 85+ Gold PSU
Corsair Dominator DDR3
Corsair Graphite 600T Case.

I would like to cool the Vid card and CPU and if possible NB/SB

Any recommendations from the expert on where I should start?

TIA!

First step: Read the sticky.

Second step: Shop around to see what pleases you aesthetically and for your budget.

Third step: Make a shopping list of things you want and post a picture here of it.

Forth step: We comment and suggest ideas that go with your build

Fifth step: You decide to take or not take the plunge.

Get her done! thumb.gif

Thanks for the reply. I did read the sticky... Looks like I have a lot of work to do. Budget is not a constrain as I want to do this right the first time smile.gif
Will post back.

Personally, shopping for new stuff when you know you're gonna buy it is a hobby for me in and of itself. And yes, I'll not lie; you have some reading and comparing to do. But the challenge is what makes it fun and rewarding when you look back on it and say "I did that all by myself". I'm totally against spoon feeding answers.

Yup it is, where would you put that 360 in the 600T?

Say where are you from? Maybe I can give you pointers on places to shop for water cooling gear.

I guess eheim pumps are making a comback. A lot of people a choosing these pumps lately, more so the aqua varient. I guess it's all the options it comes with to monitor with the aquero I guess. Where are you going to put that pump in the 600T?

Rognin,

I am in Texas.

I actually change my mind on the Rad and I am going to get a MagiCool SLIM edition:
http://www.aquatuning.us/product_info.php/info/p1712_MagiCool-SLIM-TRIPLE-360-Radiator.html

And do the same as this guy did:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr2WYJmUB80

You made a good point on the pump so I am thinking on something like:
http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2901 (Yes I am trying to stick with aqua to take advantage of the aquaero smile.gif )

and for the res:
http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2944

I will also remove the bottom drive cage out as I don't use it and don't think I ever will.

FWIW given you're on 1155 I wouldn't bother with motherboard watercooling. The chipset on z68/z77 don't get too hot (unlike x79) and you'll a) see nearly 0 benefits from doing so and b) will put a lot of restriction in your loop doing so. I'd suggest keep it simple and do cpu gpu only for now, and if you really WANT it after go for NB SB cooling
