This Friday my friend and i are shooting a high school Morp (dance) with black lights decorating the gym.
I will have a room set up with a black back drop for couples/group portraits.
*What i need help with is photographing candid shots in the gym.
I will be using a 17-50 F/2.8 lens and i do have a speed light with a 3' tether.
My friend has the 24-70 F/2.8 with vr, speed light and wireless trigger.
We both have 70-200 F/2.8.
2 24" softboxes with hair light and two 4' reflectors.
*Is the black light going to be too dark where i will need a flash to keep from getting a blurry image?
*Will flash ruin the black light effect?
*I will be shooting raw, but still i like to set my wb. Should i be set to fluorescent or flash, or neither?
I was thinking of adding in a black light to the portraits for an effect. This would help set this dance apart from prom/other dances.
*Does this seem like a good idea, or will it be too hard to shoot?
*Should one work as a fill or hair light? Does the room need to be darker for this to work?
