Definitely not the same. I said the same exact thing before I got a pair. f.lux also only works for your desktop IIRC.

They are not the same....

Got mine yesterday, that was quick shipping.

Will give them a proper try today. Though so far they seem good. They have a very slight magnification that makes text easier to read, and it seems like my eyes just absolutely relax when I put them on. Probably filtering out all the extra lighting and glare in this office. thumb.gif

An excellent purchase I made by getting one of these glasses

Today i spent few hours with it and LOVE the results.

Even when looking at the desktop and i take off the glasses for a second i can feel that my eyes are actually getting hurt a bit. When putting the glasses back on the feeling goes away. Maybe my eyes are too sensitive i dont know

Great product. I always thought of this as a gimmick but no its not

The only downside which is natural is that everything is a bit yellowish to look at but yeah that is expected because the trick is on the yellow tint on the glasses redface.gif

I've been using mine most of the day (staring at screens). They are nice for sure. Taking them off, everything just seems so much harsher to look at, from the extra lighting from the windows to the large lights above, put them on Aww, no more squinting, eyes can just look at stuff plainly.

Also I thought this tinting was going to be a negative, turns out colors actually look better now on my screens LOL. Sure they are tinted, but with no glare it makes the color palette warm and nice to look at. So maybe not better colors exactly, just easier on the eyes all around. Whites aren't so harsh, now a mild beige. Now If I can just convince myself that I don't look terrible in them, and/or get used to wearing glasses when I never needed them before... biggrin.gif

If you want the free version, download flux. If you want to pay for them, go to your local dollar store and ask for yellow tinted glasses.

Instead of actually bashing how they're the same thing, go and actually use a pair. f.lux doesn't work when gaming, and Gunnars are not just yellow tinted glasses as you can also get non yellow tinted versions as well that do the same thing.. sigh.

About the yellow tint, how is it beneficial to have this compared to the non-tinted version on their homepage? TIA

I've been seeing these things for a little while now. I think it might be worth it if it helps save your eyes.
