quick 1055t am3 compatibility question and need some suggestions

hi,
I have a 1055T in my gaming rig ATM. I don't wish to sell the whole build as Im upgrading, so I have a Fractal Define Mini (matx) case I want to put everything in to act as a work pc for archiving, server, stream, rip, transcode etc. and put the cpu to work. The board i currently use is a gigabyte 890gx ud3 ATX so wont fit in and is not AM3+ so I would want to sell this.

Is it possible to get a board that will be future compatible with piledriver but still work with my current CPU should i want to upgrade?

any suggestions for coming soon or already out Matx boards that support my CPU and if they will support PD or even just BD?

thanks

there are boards out there, but most of them are pretty bad. i wouldnt suggest overclocking on any of them:

Newegg list

EDIT: i think piledriver needs 900 series chipset or better, so i dont think these will work. sorry frown.gif

ohh thats a suprise! so there are no good matx boards tiredsmiley.gif

what about this one?

at least to support my current cpu? I could maybe just sell the whole system but i wouldnt get much and i already have a (smaller) case, catch 22 really so in the end saving all the HDD,CPU,PSU,fans its probably cheaper just getting a new matx mobo than an entire new system.

that one would support your current cpu, but i would just get a lga 1155 motherboard and an intel cpu. that way you dont have to sell your whole system.
