Hi, all. I'm in the market for a new mouse. I will be using it mainly for work - I do CAM work, so I'm looking for a mouse with lots of programmable buttons. What would you recommend?

1. What's your grip style?
Fingertip or palm.
2. What's your sensitivity?
?
3. What's your maximum budget?
$50-60
4. Do you want additional buttons?
Yes! The more the merrier!!
5. What games do you play?
N/A
6. Do you mind about prediction?
No
7. Other relevant information:
I really like Logitech's frictionless scrolling. It's really nice for long documents and just generally scrolling around really fast.
I want a tilt wheel.
All the buttons should be programmable. I would use XMouse Button Control to program them.

Out of curiosity, what do you want the extra buttons for?

I have too separate mice that i specifically got because of button placement but that's because those buttons correspond so well with the games I play them with. The Razer Naga has tons of buttons and I love it, but I also have a small hand. Also out of price range. Sorry for being useless xD

I use CAM software at work, and the buttons would be mapped to frequently-used functions, such as measuring, esc (to end the command), snap points, etc.

If you want a mouse with a lot of buttons, I suggest you look at the "MMO" mice. Such as the Logitech G600 and the Razer Naga, both are $80 though.

What are their scroll wheels like? I like Logitech's hyper-fast scrolling and metal wheels. The G600 doesn't look like it has a metal wheel, but I'm not sure about the Naga.

The Corsair M90 has a metal scroll wheel that's really nice. It's in your price range

I am now trying to decide between the G500 and the M90, or if I should just spring for the G900. Maybe I'll wait until the holiday sales come up, then (hopefully) prices will fall.

I would suggest G700 as it has 4 buttons on the left side and 3 next to the LMB, and it also features Logitech's frictionless scrolling and tilt wheel. Only problem is that its large size might not suit your fingertip grip.

G500 has 3 buttons on the left side and the 2 DPI changing buttons can be programmed to something else too.
