on another note still no replies on the azza case I mentioned?
You could always get a PSU cover; Dwood sells custom ones for pretty reasonable prices.

OK spent some time tonight and updated the areas where I was a bit hasty in deciding...
New Case: CM Storm Trooper.
New PSU Corsair HX750

Thanks for pointing out the shortcomings of my initial choices in those areas guys. I know I will be much happier with the new items.
well now that it is all mapped I get to Play the waiting game for the funds to role in mad.gif

Enjoy your pc friend, you should start a build thread when you being building, or just update here. We'd love to see it. biggrin.gif

Sorry to resurrect this but i have a few questions about the I5 3570k vs I7 3770k.... from what i have been hearing the I5 seems to be the better choice for gaming per dollar.... but as most are saying hyperthreading is a gimmicky thing that only helps with video encoding... now i do occasionally do some video encoding but its rare compared to how much i will use this rig for games....

now say I want to play the playstation 2 emulator with the best possible processor for the job how much is the I7 going to improve the speed of the emulator over the I5?
and honestly if i did do video editing on the I5 its not going to be terrible right? just slightly slower then the I7?

To be honest, if you don't know whether you need hyperthreading or not, then you don't. The i5 will be slightly slower at encoding video (depending on the program/settings/etc) but, unless you are a heavy encoder, not enough to make a difference (or at least not $100 difference). I'm not sure about the emulator, but I doubt it would get any benefit from hyperthreading either. The 3570K is pretty much the best all-around CPU available, so you can feel comfortable getting one.
