I'll prob snag a Nexus 7 if I can find one cheap. Then wait for a Nexus 10.1 and the slates to come out. Yup that sounds like a plan!

Should be a bit weaker, I think. Tegra 3 should be quad core but this is dual. Then again Android, as far as I'm aware, is not very well optimized for multicore. I did order that Ainol one some days ago but it will take at least couple of weeks for it to reach me and I did not base my decision on the CPU but mainly on the screen, price and SD / HDMI slots. Screen is practically the same in both. Nexus 7 is pretty good tablet I have heard but it does lack some features that are desirable for some people like the beforementioned hdmi and SD.

Edit: Theres a review comparing these two I stumbled upon in the web: http://www.merimobiles.com/Ainol_NOVO_7_Burning_Dual_Core_Android_4_0_3_16GB_p/meri5673.htm it's that embedded video window right next to a tablet picture in there.

I went to a staples to test one out today. The screen quality was good, no worry's there. It did feel slow when moving content images around. For example, when browsing a webpage I could feel and see a drag or delay to the movement of the content vs my finger. It didn't feel as fluid as my phone. Not sure if it was the browser, the device, or just simply because it was a display model. But regardless, it definitely made me second guess buying it.

@ any owners of the nexus 7, do you experience this type of "drag" when moving the screen around, both overall and specifically the browser?

do not get the nexus 7...
mine screen lifted right after the return period..sent it in for warranty twice and still not fixed
1. came back with more lift
2. came back with less lift, touchscreen broken
3. sending it in again, we'll see how it goes-.-

the colors on the N7 screen isnt that great either..blues/greens and yellow look very very washed out
