SSD's are fun! Which one did you get? Also, make sure to check if the BIOS is set to AHCI or not. When I did my parents computer (first time installing SSD) I didn't know this, and was freaking out thinking something was faulty. Wouldn't boot or anything. A simple switch to AHCI and it was fine. Just a heads up in case you run into this issue and freak out without knowing whats happening like me.

Yea, its good to get to know your hardware and know the limits of your exact chip. And though it might seem like yet another small thing to look out for, it'll become second nature when you do this enough. Like I said, it will always seem daunting the first few times, but its actually quite simple, especially since you have an unlocked chip.
That said, every chip is different. Good luck with the new SSD and your OC. Put together, it should be a nice little performance boost. Snappy systems are funner.
C3! Looks promising. vcore, if you haven't changed it, should be nothing to worry about. A lot of systems default them to higher than needed vcores. My Athlon II 635 started at 1.45v at default, not sure why... now with a mild OC its still at 1.45v, though I planned
to try to undervolt it a little, but I forgot. Good reminder.
As for Bottleneck, you'd likely be close to hitting it, but if you get to 4ghz you should be fine. If it does bottleneck (check your GPU usage) you could take care of it easily with a small upgrade of CPU later on (if needed). I'd buy a nice 960 used on the marketplace and try to pawn your 955 off on ebay or locally through craigslist or kijiji or w/e equivalent. And you'd likely end up with a zero/low cost upgrade. I do this often and almost get free upgrades.Edited by Fuell - 10/9/12 at 11:58am
