On topic: Phenoms are known for having a weak spot in overclocking, it is know as: RAM closest to 1333 or lower.
You MIGHT even try lowering or raising the latency of the RAM, but that is just the second step after OC'ing the CPU of course.
As said before by Red; lower multipliers on the Northbridge and RAM help an incredible lot with FSB overclocking! Smartest thing to do is bump the cpu by about 50MHz and testing it by converting a small file or something like that. It takes less time and is somewhat of an indication. If you think about setteling on XXXMHz then run some heaftier stress tests like prime etc.

Ooh quick note: is the on-die sensor on the 955 95w a little bit weird like the 10xxT's?

My Phenom II has no problem with ~1606mhz 7-8-7-24-1T. It won't do 7-8-7-20-1T like the Intel would with the same sticks, though. Still, I think limiting yourself to 1333 or under is a bad idea unless it just won't operate at a higher frequency.

Needs moar overclock! Well..It wouldn't hurt to try,anyway;Here's my current OC:Unless you have a pretty bad chip,or bad cooling..you should be able to do around 3.9/4.1 fairly easily.

Indeed that might be true, but my experiences with PII and RAM are quite funny, the 8 chips that I oc'ed showed some resemblance between not booting and ram instabilities. And frankly 9/10 times lowering the frequency helped smile.gif With the exception of the 1333 sticks that ran 18XX... aah nevermind :') Might just as well have been other factors involved, didn't have enough time to test frown.gif

not yet I tried agian then my whole bios went screwy on selecting with hdd to boot from lol its my cpu thats dampening my progress, I might swap it out with a 6 or 8 core before feb hopefully

If that's the case you might as well consider keeping it stock for the time being. And yeah it would be smart to swap the cpu smile.gif
Keep in mind though that Bulldozers (8 core/4modules) runs HOT and uses more power... If I were you I'd get a 1090T/1100T, they almost always clock to 4GHz with good cooling.
