Dual monitor problems! Help.

Thread Starter
Hi,

I have two GTX 560 Ti in SLI and I have two Acer S240HL monitors, each plugged into the HDMI port of each card. I went to Nvidia controls and chose multiple monitors and it turned out as one screen is the same and the other with only the windows logo and nothing else. My mouse cannot reach that screen either. This is the first time I tried two monitors so can someone tell me what should I do to get both screens working? For anything, gaming, working...etc. Seems like I'm lacking some software or something else...

Thanks alot! smile.gif

I think you should be able to do that with the extend-option in Windows. Not sure though

Thanks! I want to play games on both monitors, is that possible?

How do you get your web browser or anything else to show up on monitor #2?
Just grab the title bar and slide it over to the other browser

Set wallpaper to - Tile - and one picture will be across both screens

Control Panel - Appearance - Display - Screen Resolution
SET - Multiple displays to --Extend these displays

The Task bar will only be on screen ONE - Thats the way MicroSoft set it up to be

You can make the LEFT or RIGHT ,, screen ONE in control panel

Click Picture to see examples

"generic PnP monitor"
Is what the Nvidia Control Panel sees - No Big Deal

You will be able to slide any window to either screen that you want

To play on Both monitors at once
You will have to set the game resolution with the settings in game

If you want more functionality like taskbar across whole screen, stretch wallpaper across both screens and other multi-monitor options, you will need a 3rd party application.
