[CNET] Google to co-brand 10-inch Nexus tablet with Samsung

A Google Nexus 10-inch class tablet is in the works, CNET has learned.
The 10.1-inch tablet will boast a pixel density that is higher than Apple's third-generation iPad, said Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch.
The 2,560x1,600 display will have a PPI (pixels per inch) of about 299, said Shim. That tops the 264 PPI on the 9.7-inch 2,048x1,536 Retina iPad.
"It's going to be a high-end device," Shim said -- in contrast with Google's $199 Nexus 7 and upcoming $99 tablet.

"It's going to be a high-end device"

looking at the possible specs, i see a msrp of at least $400-500?

A $99 tablet? They really want me to buy a tablet, don't they?

As far as the 10" goes, that is a ridiculous amount of pixels in such a tiny space.

They better boost time between charges, not PPI.

I don't think it'll be that high, especially considering Samsung already has the Note tablet at $500. I'm predicting $299. That'll leave Google with a $99 Nexus tablet (their other upcoming new one), a $199 one (Nexus 7) and this new $299 one.

I like my Toshiba tablet but I would buy one of these. Its better to have the mainline to Google that nexus devices offer.

I'd pay that in a heartbeat, after I sell my Transformer Prime.
