That would only be useful if you could use it as the input device for a computer. In which case you pretty much have a Cintiq running android (which would be awesome biggrin.gif)

Agreed with the posts regarding desktop panels. I want a 2560*1600 desktop panel for ~$250 no later than my 26th birthday. That's two years from now, so get to it people.

Why be so conservative? Double that resolution, and demand it is also a good panel technology (PLS, IPS, OLED...) with native 120Hz or higher.

You're already giving them two years so make them do more than just lower their profit margins (which could be done instantly with a few keystrokes).

Very true, but Hell will freeze over with all the planets in alignment before that ever happens laugher.gif My expectations are pretty low.

If it does happen, 22" pls. Higher PPI the better.

kind of overkill. but i definitely notice the difference between ipad 2 and ipad hd. so i while 1600p was not really necessary, more isn't really bad and it's good they matched the ipad

Now for the next question ... will it be on sale by years end?

We need $300-$500 quality 2560 x 1600 displays (or their 16:9 counterparts) and we need them now. The Korean monitors should have been enough.
The display itself will only be about $100-$140 I'd say. I'd like to see good 27 inch displays come down on price too, but... they they still will be substantially more expensive than a 10 inch 2560x1600 display. The physical size, backlight size, and then the quality of the panel, etc., it all adds up. But $500 would be a pretty good price I reckon for a good quality 1440p display.
