Computer specs? - Ideas

Thread Starter
I am looking to customize a new gaming rig from newegg.com and I tried doing so before but I supposed I wasn't good at it and had non compatable parts with other parts. I was hoping someone here could make me a good
gaming rig from newegg. I have about $1500. If some could make me a good rig I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

i say wait a few months until the kentsfield processor comes out before you get the rig, at least, that's what i'm doing, or if you don't want to wait get the c2d

In general, an Intel E6400 processor, Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard, 2Gb of DDR2 (brand up to you), a 320Gb Seagate 7200.10 SATA hard drive, case of your choice, good brand ~600w PSU, and a video card that fits into the budget would be a good way to go.

The most "important" parts of your build would be the CPU/Mobo/RAM/Vid card as far as performance goes, obviously, so focus on those.
