Seriously, I'm using Windows 8. There is nothing I can't do with it.

Nothing you say. How about being productive without wasting effort and time having to jump through hoops?

I jest, but not really.

Yawn. I could do this all day. All day. No matter what you post, I can prove they want a walled garden. Windows 8 App will NOT sale pegi 18 games. Period. http://www.slashgear.com/microsoft-pegi-18-games-cant-be-sold-on-windows-8-marketplace-11251540/

Sorry, but Microsoft is trying for a walled garden.

Can do this all day. But once again, I will never go windows 8, so I really could careless. If you enjoy your walled garden then enjoy it. You can not say you are not being locked down, while point at a door lock and say it is a safety device.

And I can go on all day as to why it's NOT going to happen. Those articles and you are just full of fearmongering and hyperbole.

The not allowing of pegi-18 games is almost a clear cut indicator that Microsoft is not planning on selling AAA titles through the Marketplace, and you're going to get your AAA titles from whoever makes/sells them (Steam, Origin, retail stores, etc). This does not sound like a walled garden to me.

I'm sorry, I don't usually post a lot here nowadays, but I've got to point this out. Here's one quote from that article:
Quote:
Apple’s OSX has the perfect setup for gamers. It offers its own App Store with games, but also lets users use store services like Steam alongside it. Maybe Microsoft should take a page out of Apple’s book. Only time will tell.

First of all, since when has OSX been an OS prefered by gamers? And to top it off, they say that besides the Apple App Store, you can install other stores like Steam. Well, isn't that just the same with Windows 8? doh.gif

Sorry, but that article is a load of crap, along with quite a few others I've seen lately.

Where does it say it is? It simply says it has "the perfect set up" (Which I disagree with still)

If anything I see this approach as being more like Google, actually. Google has sort of their "own" hardware through the Nexus line of Android products while other manufacturers are able to make various customizations of Android OS. Windows will be not very different.

ms making their hardware?if they only make screen i ll buy !why !because sadly getting a 100% scrgb-srgb-rgb screen is insanelly hard!
