Help me figure this out

Ok, so i play BF3 competitively and was going through all the motions of looking at new mice as I wasnt too happy with my M8000X.
I managed to win a Razer Deathadder, and while waiting for it to arrive, I switched to an intellimouse 1.1 and I immediately noticed an improvement, on a major scale. I played a round of Caspian for fun, and missed 2 shots the entire round (aggressive recon with SV98 and .44 magnum)

After about a week, I had improved massively!

I then got my deathadder and immediately went back to only slightly better then the M8000X

After doing research, I noticed that the intellimouse refresh rates default is 125hz, while all my mice get set to 1000hz, is it possible that this is whats affecting my gameplay? If so, how and why?

That is not the problem ^^ That I can assure you.
Most likely it's because of the form factor of the intelli 1.1, shape is a really big factor in how you aim.

You are right, I tested last night and its not the same. Anyone else think its just the form factor?

I did feel that the sensor was smoother or something though

Why don't you set your DA to 125Hz and see if that works better for you?

But imho it's more likely that the shape, weight (and general sensor behaviour) of the Intelli 1.1 simply fits you better.

What sensitivity do you have in terms of m/s? The 1.1 gets negative acceleration at only 1.55 m/s when overclocked to 1000hz which many competitive players will easily reach. Additionally I just want to make sure that you adjusted your sensitivity in accordance with the new CPI of your DA since that could definitely mess with your aim, although the different weight and form factor of the DA would most likely cause you to over/under correct in terms of aiming.

This is almost definately the case. Gonna have to make a new thread, because I discovered last night I lift my mouse every 5 seconds or so redface.gif

I have adjusted and messed around alot, and its definately the shape of the mouse thats most influencial. I literally have no control of the mouse in terms of my personal grip
