HDTV for $1500 all in

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I am looking to get an HDTV. I have a max budget of $1500, and that is including wall mount, taxes, fees, etc.

I would really like LED (I think), and I don't care about 3D or other "Smart Functions" [I'm going to get a Raspberry Pi and hook it up via HDMI and use XBMC]

I was looking at a 60" Sharp LED: http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-Aquos-LC60LE640U-60-Inch-LED-LCD/dp/B0076LY1C4 [It was on sale at FRYs for $1199]

does anyone have any suggestions?

TV looks beautiful. I was actually shopping for wall mounts today, and apparently this one is good.

http://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Plasma-Screen-200x200-700x400mm/dp/B000NMFCIA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

$30, but you have to pick your own after market screws or something.

I can't provide you links - but what size are you looking for.
For that type of budget I highly suggest getting a FULL LED, not an EDGE LIT LED @400hz+
(We had an LG in the UK literally 2yrs ago, going for £1500 - FULL LED @600hz, no frame and 3D, so I'm pretty sure you can find something better now)

Brands I suggest:
LG
Samsung
Sharp
