Need help picking a motherboard!

Thread Starter
So its been about 4 years now since I last upgraded and I need a little help narrowing down a mobo. My current setup is socket 775 that I mainly use for gaming and its really starting to show its colors (GW2).

I decided to pick up an intel i5-3570k and I plan to overclock it to as high as air cooling would allow. I do not need many bells and whistles so no SLI support no need for wifi, etc. I just need a good reliable, oc'able board to do this for around $150 but I am willing to go into the $200 area if neccessary. The only feature I'd like is for one with a decent sound card for my headphones. Any suggesstions? What about heatsinks? Thanks!

I think UD5H is a perfect choice for you. It has ALC898 with headphone amplifier too. Similar priced Asus boards have worse audio, but offer WiFi. ASRock like Extreme6 is hard to recommend compared to UD5H (worse VRM, no headphone amplifier). Also UP4 is a nice choose too, but it has worse audio than UD5H which you want.

Alternatively the best choice is probably to buy UD3H and Asus Xonar DGX 5.1.

Nice, I just found out that my closest microcenter is 2 hour drive away(Cincy/Sharonsville,OH), roundtrip gas cost is around $30 so if I can save enough to cover the gas I think a weekend rig shopping roadtrip will be interesting. Is the $50 off Motherboard bundle deal for all Microcenters?
