I posted this over in the motherboard forums but no luck over there. Maybe someone here can help out or have ran into something simliar
I'm completely stumped on this and was hoping someone can give me a hand. I've been having alot of problems with P8Z68M-Pro and the onboard video. I'm using this as an HTPC with an i3 2105 connecting it throuh HDMI to my receiver. Once it boots into Windows the video signal is lost. If I leave it like that for an hour or so then the video signal will come back on and all is well. It's almost as if it has to warm up. Also I have to leave the receiver on. If i turn it off it runs into this issue.
I've tried connecting it directly to the TV and the issue persists. I've even tried using several different video cards to no avail. After exhausting my own resources I sent the motherboard back to Asus for RMA. They returned it back to me after testing it and said there weren't any issues. After reinstalling Windows I'm still running into the same issue.
All drivers including bios is up to date. At this point I dont know what to do. I dont think its my TV or receiver since I can use my bluray player and PS3 with no problems. Plus connecting this computer to a different monitor i still run into this problem.
Also another weird problem I noticed is that when I reinstall Windows I can only have my SSD connected to any of the sata ports. Once Windows is installed I can then go back in and connect my other hard drives. But the more hard drives I have connected the longer it takes to boot into Windows. With only the SSD its seconds to boot. But with my other hard drives (4 of them) connected it takes over 45 seconds to boot.
