Looking for THE mouse. - Page 12

hey! i ve been in the same spot as the OP for quite some time now.

I m using claw/fingertip grip and i really need a spot for my pinky or a less awkward shape for it to press down.

DA was too heavy and claw grip felt awkward -palm grip was awesome though, pity i dont palm anymore frown.gif-
Abyssus was great but i really need side buttons.
EC2 evo and in general ZOWIE mice are great but i just cant get used to 1150dpi, its so slow my hand hurts -mainly moving the mouse with my wrist- plus fingertip feels weird as well.

i m looking for a mouse that can do 1500-1800 dpi -dont care about highter- and does not jitter on a puretrak talent -i prefer to stick with the talent for now , no extra cash tongue.gif-

I dont mind a MILD acceleration and i m looking at Savu/Sensei/Taipan? I dont mind drivers and stuff from razer, but driverless is always a plus smile.gif
I cant actually try any of the mice so i have no idea how they fit my hand..

Any ideas would be much appreciated smile.gif

Don't see how Sensei will give you a spot for your pinky, I'd go savu or Taipan

put your ring finger next to your middle finger on the right mouse button. Most comfortable ergonomics I have ever felt. I haven't touched the Taipan yet though as I don't care much about it due to it's sensor (of course that's also the reason why I don't use the Sensei). I guess the Taipan is very similar though.

I have a Logitech g700 and it's perfect for me. I'd give it some consideration though because what works for me might not really work for you. It has on the fly dpi adjustment, it's comfortable, and it just feels sturdy. Only con I can think of really is it doesn't use a unifying receiver so i have 2 wireless receivers for my mouse and keyboard.

Personally, my ring finger holds the side of my mouse with the pinky for the most control. I don't trust my weak little pinky alone to provide enough control fast enough. Between thumb and ring finger is much more sturdy!

That's a sensation that will pass soon enough... it's just because you or your pinkie isn't accustomed to it.

As I said a few times on this forum: some mice are formed with the idea to keep the ring finger on the side, while others are not (and some even support both ways). The Xai/Sensei for instance is no way as comfortable when putting the ring finger on the side compared to putting it next to the middle finger on the button. With the Deathadder you have it the other way around.

my ring finger likes to stay close to my middle , thats how i claw the abyssus at least. Sticking it close to my pinky feels ok but having all 3 spread out is giving me pain -shared nerves ftl-.
I m also starting to think that ergonomic mice are giving me all this trouble, thats why i havent picked up the savu yet and considering other ambidextrous -with worse sensors sadly:(-

i ve been using the ec2 evo for over a month now and almost got a cramp on my pinky. I cant tell if its because of the lower sensitivity compared to abyssus or the shape.

So that explains why the Xai/Sensei felt like **** to me!

Wow it all makes sense now, thanks smile.gif
