"OCZ Technology was founded by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, and our commitment to that end-user group has not digressed. Entering the memory market in 2002, OCZ was built around the determination to manufacture the very best high-speed memory for overclockers."

The ZT series is the ideal choice for a PSU for those looking for design, performance and price. With a fully modular design, ZT series maintains its internal environment organized by eliminating the clutter of wires and improve air flow using only the cables that are accurate.
The ZT is the newest series of power supplies from OCZ, whose models are fully modular cabling system and 80 Plus Bronze certification. Available in versions with 550W, 650W and 750W.

- Exterior

Box of the ZT series introduces us once his strength in large letters, 100% modular

Based on black box with some yellow letters, where we can see some of its specifications

On another side of the box we have a small supply wiring scheme

On the back we have some technical specifications as the Bronze certificate, 5 years warranty, super cool

This PSU gives us 45A on the 12V line as you can see in the picture

Inside the box, we see that OCZ bothered in housekeeping.
Rather than we are accustomed to a olio boxes and wires, OCZ only presents two containers

In one of the boxes have all the wiring, the cables from the main board, up to molex

This source has the particularity of having wires all sata cables in black

OCZ presents us with a great design and very clean.

This photo says it all.
Fantastic to see a 100% modular PSU. A look professional and simply beautiful to behold!

The cables are present as follows:

Something we can worry about is bringing only 2 PCI-E cables, but given that it is a PSU of only 550W, it will not be the most suitable for CrossFire systems

At the rear of the source have all the power scheme, as well as some certificates assigned to the series

- Interior and Conclusions

Cooling from OCZ ZT 550W is made by a 140mm fan in all black Yate Loon Thai brand. This type of fan is most common in all the sources of high quality.

dsc0745qb.jpg

As with the ZX series, the OEM source of this is the High Wall, so we can find a large PCB, in this case all black.

Although the filtering stage of this source is not perfect, it is good, considering that we are talking about a PSU of about 60 €.
This source gives us 4 capacitors and 2 Y on X as in most PSU's of OCZ.

Comparing with the PSU we tested earlier, this results in efficiency obtained a slightly better but the most impressive was the difference in temperatures was obtained.
We can conclude that the fact that this source is 100% modular, helps a lot in cooling, which makes it one of PSU freshest I've ever had in my hands.
The fact that the fan at 2800RPM load's reach makes it a bit noisy but only in load.

Prós +
Attractive design and simple
100% modular, which is certainly extremely good sources for today
Extremely good performance with great efficiency values.
Source pretty cool
price

Cons -
Guard and could add another 2 PCI-E cables
Load the noisy

With that attach to the OCZ ZT 550W certificate r1sKas Choice Gold!
