Xbox Inspiration !!

Thread Starter
Hi,

I have an xbox 360 slim and am really amazed by how it works. More like how it starts. So here's what i was thinking :

I have opened the xbox and have seen all the innards and after seeing the touch sensitive power key, i decided to replicate the exact mechanism on the walls of my house. (sounds vague atm, and also as i'm not an engineer or something may not be possible but i wanted help from you guys as you would have some knowledge if it was possible)

so what do you think. Can it be done ? would it look good if not awesome ???

What, you want touch sensitive power switches? They have things like this.

Yeah, these aren't new by any means. It's just capacitive sensing.

Uh, I am not sure how you would make one, but wouldnt it make more sense to just buy one premade? I think it would be cheaper to just buy one.

If you are asking how to do it, you most likely cannot do something like that. (no offense)

I am no electrician, but you would most likely need a capacitive switch, a bunch of wiring, a soldering iron, a housing for the switch to attach it to the wall. And wire it to the wall....

Its going to be dangerous, difficult, and expensive if you want to make it yourself.
