FX-8350 & Water Cooling

As soon as the FX-8350 is released I will have it. My mobo is a Sabertooth 990FX w/ 16GB of Kingston PC3-10700 & 2 XFX 5850's in crossfrie. My HD's are 2 each 600GB Velociraptors. The PS is a 900W Antec High Current Gamer.

I've never really wanted to go with a 'wet' system but I plan on oc'ing the 8350 to the nth. So, my question is what is the concensus of opinoins are as to the best liquid cooling system for my rig? I talking price up to $150 tops.

With that budget your stuck with a close loop system so here is an option for you -

You also have the option of adding 2 more fans to it for push n pull and max performance.

For 150 dollars you are way better off with an XSPC Raystorm 750 RS240 kit , the water block is far superior to the convenience coolers. Your OC ability will also increase as well because of added cooling capability. Just need to buy some distilled water at the grocery store and a silver kill coil and you can have fun installing it. Make sure you watch a tutorial or two and you will be glad in the long run. cheers.gif

Thanks for the replies. I been on-line most of this afternoon checking out various liquid coolers and I'm still sitting on fence. I wondering what
you think about the Noctua NH-D14?

This. Good air coolers are bulky, and even the best AIO system (H50/70 etc) will only give you the performance of a high end air cooler.

Either price up a cheap loop (which will probably go over $150), or look at an RS/Pre-made loop kit. You won't regret it. Watercooling was the most fun I've had with a PC and I learnt so much. Not to mention the added performance you will get over an air/AIO water cooler, and the silence if you use some nice quiet fans.

Plus, it looks killer with some good coloured tubing. biggrin.gif

Ordered the Corasair H100 and it's on its way and will give it a shot. I like the warranty (5 yrs).
