Given everything he said about Verizon is basically my experience with AT&T ^_~

Speaking of, I've had the multiple text thing happen a few times, Texts people send me are being delivered repeatedly, One time over the course of 2 hours, With none of the texts im sending being actually sent.. When i have full signal strength.. Was highly annoying to have my phone going off for those 2 hours, repeatedly, every 30 seconds, and rebooting it did NOT help...

Well, okay, except when they took away my unlimited data for some bogus crap.

Eh, I dunno, I'm kinda mad about how bad they've treated me the last few months coupled with what i see as a lowering in the quality of service... Im simply very mad that the LTE coverage sucked (Come on, 6mbps on LTE?) despite the guy at the store reassuring me id have GREAT coverage where i lived... I'm still in limbo about the unlimited data too... and i really dont feel 3gb is sufficient for me given i FREQUENTLY hit 3gb a month...

That said im equally concerned about WORSE service... And the maps online really are no help because they seem to be without any form of definition of how they get their figures...

To be honest, eversince i switched to tmobile, almost everytime that i have to call someone i have to call them twice because whoever i am calling won't gonna be able to hear me at all with my first call, i have to call again to have a conversation.

Well that issue is only with outgoing call, incoming is fine. This is not a phone issue because i already tested 3 different phones, not a signal issue either,

I learned to live with it though

That's interesting. I haven't heard any news about AT&T deliberately lowering their quality of service. In fact, last I checked they were improving it. In the past AT&T was plagued with issues because of the iPhone (and being unprepared for it). That, for the most part, isn't the case any more.

Not diminishing your complaints, but if it is so bad why have to stuck with them for almost a decade? It's been bad all this time, right?

But, if you're concerned about worse service, then T-Mobile shouldn't be in your vocabulary.

And I'm curious, but why is it you use so much data? I was freakin' out when I lost my unlimited data, but I then learned I never break 1GB a month. Practically everywhere you go WiFi is offered for free. And, I assume you have a home network. Once I realized I really didn't need unlimited data, I stopped caring.

Every friend I have on T-Mobile deals with this. I mean, T-Mobile is a great deal so it's like, "Well, hey, I'm paying half of what you're paying, so whatever."

Yep but I get to keep mine because I renewed before that. I will also get to keep the unlimited plan anytime after if I straight out buy the phones and not get a subsidized one through a contract.

So...unlimited plans still exist but Verizon is trying hard to get rid of them.

You're in California, I am not... There is SOME free Wi-Fi, But not everywhere, its few and far between and usually of lowish quality in my experience, Yes, I have a home network, I wouldnt bother paying for cell data if i was primarily using the thing at home however lol...

I just use a lot of data, In fact, Since the bill rolled over, despite trying to restrain myself I've used a gig already, i watch videos and stuff on my phone when im out and sitting places waiting on something... it adds up

Just thought id pop in and let you all know ATT restored my unlimited data today

Also my speeds just shot up back to normal levels, Back to 5.5mbps average..

Also i DID have a thought on my sudden signal issues and did think of something, I looked up where the tower is that I connect to around here and found out that its RIGHT next to where they've been doing construction for..you guessed it...the last few months since the issues started, Its right in the line of sight of the tower and given its a big tall STEEL apartment building, That could be why the signal has become VERY wonky where i live...

I was just looking at apps that allow me to pinpoint the location of the cell tower I was connected to. What app did you use? I found an app called Open Signal on Play.

I have OpenSignal (which is pretty nice) and Network Signal Info by KAIBITS Software (which has handy widgets that give you signal strength in db and also tell you the type of network you're on, also gives you how much data you've consumed over Wi-Fi)
