Infrared

Hey,

My Abyssus has infrared sensors instead of a normal red light sensor. Apart from not being able to see the light, is there a performance difference?

Thanks! thumb.gif

LED*

And surface dependent more or less.

Quality of LED itself can effect tracking whether it be IR or Red.

So neither is really much better than the other then.

The abyssus with basicly any red led i have tried with, results in a lower lod and with some additionally in a higher PCS. The surface compatibility did not suffer in any case. Unlike the Savu, which gives super low lod on cloth pads, though the hard pad compatibility completly fades away (func 1030, ss i-2). A aby + spawn lense/led combo gives me best PCS results ~5 m/s.
ot: The abyssus pcb is imo the best ie3.0 shell canidate. tongue.gif But still i hesitate.

Do you only change the LED or also the resistor for it to have a good match?

LED only.

I know how that is, I'm the same way. Of course now my mouse has a red LED.
