I wish I was able to verify the fact that I don't think I'm folding on the 2.25 core anymore. I'm not at home, so it will be this evening before I can do that. The log I have does indeed show a 2.27 before the 2.25. It doesn't show the core for the WU that downloaded after the 8057's (core 2.25). Unless I'm just looking at this entirely wrong. And if I'm missing something, please let me know. I'm as curious about all of this as the next guy, especially since I changed my Wildcard to the GTX. As luck would have it after I did so I lost the 8057's.

I dont think the client matters. It is the GPU folding core. v2.22 = no 8057 v2.25 = chance at a 8057

As for your GPU crashing, it may not be your GPU. Maybe your CPU or RAM OC is not stable. Try setting those back to stock and try again.

$ilent, I think you may have a problem with your card.
Im adament its not my cpu thats unstable, ive been folding on this for months with no problems. Im gonna try now with a massive underclock on the gpu and see if it folds, if not I guess I need to rma or something. It only seems to happen when I have the -beta flag on, I think with advmethods on aswell.

22:01:44:WU00:FS00:0xa4:Version 2.27 (Dec. 15, 2010)

0xa4 is the CPU core.

17:02:28:WU02:FS00:0x15:Version 2.22 (Thu Dec 8 17:08:05 PST 2011)

0x15 is the GPU core.

As you can see MakoKid is using the 2.22 on his 580 and I am using the 2.27 core on my 3820.

well my v7 client version 2.25 just failed another 8018 with:

14:24:30:WU01:FS00:0x15:mdrun_gpu returned 52
14:24:30:WU01:FS00:0x15:NANs detected on GPU
14:24:30:WU01:FS00:0x15:
14:24:30:WU01:FS00:0x15:Folding@home Core Shutdown: UNSTABLE_MACHINE
14:24:31:WU01:FS00:FahCore returned: UNSTABLE_MACHINE (122 = 0x7a)

Its not right this, theres no way my gpu cannot fold these work units with a massive underclock. Somethings wrong here.

I would try the CPU and RAM at stock too. I know you have been folding with it the way it is but it will eliminate it. If those two flags are causing issue then dont use them, just fold with out them on.

with no flags on I pick up 7625 WUs which again just kill my gpu and fail after 0%.

This is really the only path I can think of. If none of these help, I'm sorry to say, but it might be your card.
- Complete F@H reinstall, delete all folders manually
- Complete driver reinstall using driversweeper or something similar
- Complete windows reinstall
- Try your GPU in another rig - Try adding volgate at stock everything - Downclock core and memory - Try different PCIe slots
