Is there any way to find out who the oem is by opening up the keyboard? I would consider buying one if it isn't iOne.

I would need specific instructions if I were to go that far.

Do you have any other MX Brown keyboards?

The anandtech review mentioned for whatever reason it seemed stiffer than other browns, wondering if that's just the O ring difference or if Logitech did something weird to the browns.

Also, how are you liking it so far? How do the key caps feel?

Also, the smaller keys are def not MX, don't think you can make them smaller than traditional key cap size, so the volume and media keys are not MX brown.. the 2nd USB cord is for the port in the back of the keyboard. Not really sure why they needed two for it though, maybe it's fully powered?

No previous mech keyboards :-\

I actually like it a lot, the caps fit right to my fingers. Yeah I figured the media keys aren't mechanical. I haven't really tested much, but I do know that the keyboard worked directly with one of the two USB cords, I'm thinking power because each key has it's own LED.

It looks so cool! biggrin.gif
Unfortunately it comes with MX Browns which I don't really like, thinking of getting one and switching out the browns for reds or blacks if possible tongue.gif

A lot of MXs have a break in period

And this looks like a decent board, I would also be interested in the OEM, but at this price point it has a lot of great boards to compete with.

I'm on a waiting list for a Nighthawk X8 (with 20% discount), but I'm seriously considering this board instead. It has all the features I want: Full size mechanical keyboard using Cherry MX Brown, all full size keys are mechanical (unlike Corsair K90), and there are designated media keys (volume scroll a plus) rather than requiring FN or SHIFT + another key for media controls. The lack of designated media keys is the only real issue with the Nighthawk X8. I also like the sound dampening - something I planned on doing with the X8 ($20-$25 for the O rings rolleyes.gif). I do prefer the Nighthawk X8's appearance. The G710+ would be a pretty good looking keyboard if not for the orange boarder on the G-Keys (WTH is Logitech thinking?). Dual USB connections is another negative since most of mine are used already and space is tight in FT02. I think you only need to use one though. The Nighthawk has FULL key rollover (though how anyone would need more than 26 or even 10 is beyond me) and TWO USB ports with only a single USB connection.

Despite all the negative comments, if the build quality is good, I think this the right keyboard for me - especially if I can get it at a discount. Before I make my decision, would you please answer a few questions?.

(1) What is your impression of the overall build quality? Is the keyboard frame solid? How about the USB cable? Any concerns about long term durability?

(2) Do all the keys, including when the "gaming" mode is used, light up evenly? In the Logitech video, the S & D keys were much brighter than the W and A keys in "gaming mode.". My guess is that it was due to camera angle since it would be a big defect otherwise.

(3) Is it hard to see the markings on the WASD and arrow keys if the lighting is turned off? I suppose I could order replacement keys if I don't like it back-lighting 24/7, but it's expensive enough already.

Thanks for the reply and the post.
