Need help choosing a PSU.

Hi everyone, after deciding not to get a PS3, and instead i decided to upgrade my PSU, so i've come across 3 PSU's that fit in my Budget of $240, im not going to buy online since if i need to RMA it would be a pain in the *** , so i've emailed my local computer store and below are the prices of the 3 im considering.

Antec High Current Pro 750W..................... $230

CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 800W...........$210

Silverstone Strider 850W Gold Evolution... $220

Please help me choose between these PSU's, also if you have any other recommendation, please post it as well.

Also the PSU has to be ATLEAST Semi-Modular.

Too bad your not in the states, I have a 1300w CM SPH for sale...

I would go with the Silverstone Strider.. Its just the best out of the 3 there.

They are all overkill for your sig rig if this is what you are "upgrading". That Antec PSU you currently have is a solid unit (OEM is Seasonic).

I know that my current unit is enough, but i am planning to go crossfire later when i have the money, i'm more than certain 520W isn't enough for crossfire with 2 7950's

It would be pushing it, yes (LOL just kidding, 520W is no where near enough, indeed). You should have mentioned in your OP that you were doing this because you had planned to CrossFire your 7950 tongue.gif

750W is the maximum I would go. You just really do not need 850W.
AMD recommendation means squat - it is there to compensate for all the trash quality power supplies. smile.gif

For the record I used to run two R6950's on an HX-650, overclocked and with CPU overclocked - without issue.
