Would I have to remove the mobo for this or will it work on the default backplate?

So it will screw in like the stock heatsink? If so it looks like my best choice.

You don't need to remove the mobo, but it's quite difficult IMO to mount push pin HSF. It also depends on the system. If there's a backplate installed already then you will always need to remove the motherboard. I know Dell does this sometimes...

This keyboard is beautiful. Its stylish and very ergonomic. They almost made it perfect if they had of made it with mechanical keys for hardcore gamers. However this was not an over sight for them....
