Need some advice for OCing Corsair Vengeance 1600 c9 1.5v

Hello

Since my old ram went bad, i bought a pair of Corsair Vengeance LP 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v

So far ive tested all these settings:
1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 2T 1.5v Pass Memtest 1 Round + 30Min P95
1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T 1.5v Pass Memtest 1 Round + 30Min P95

1866Mhz 9-9-9-24 2T 1.5v Fail Memtest 1 Round
1866Mhz 9-10-9-28 2T 1.575v Pass Memtest 1 Round + 30Min P95
1866Mhz 9-10-9-28 1T 1.575v Pass Memtest 1 Round + 30Min P95

2133Mhz 11-10-11-30 2T 1.6V Fail Memtest 1 Round
2133Mhz 11-11-11-33 2T 1.6v Fail Memtest 1 Round
2133Mhz 11-11-11-35 2T 1.6185v Fail Memtest 1 Round
2133Mhz 10-11-10-31 2T 1.65V Fail Memtest 1 Round
2133Mhz 11-11-11-33 1T 1.65v Fail Memtest 1 Round
2133Mhz 11-11-11-33 2T 1.65V Pass Memtest 1 Round + Fail P95

As you can see the 2133mhz 11-11-11-33 2T 1.65v Is allmost stable,
What do you guys advice next timings i should try? 11-12-11-34 2T 1.65v? or Are those timings so high its useless?

I could push the voltage a bit higher, but i am allready running 1.65v on 1.5v ram. Do you guys think i could run 1.675v / 1.7v 24/7 on these sticks or is that really too much for them?

After reading this what do you guys advice my next step should be for 2133mhz? higher timings? more voltage?
or just keep it on 1866mhz 1.575v and try to tune the timings?

Thx

RAM overclocks on Sandy/Ivy Bridges are not really necessary anymore.

Now I did overclock my RAM sticks with your stock volts and timings to 1866MHz with 9-10-9-24-2T for fun, but I knew going in it would not really add anything to my computer or gaming experience.

If you want to continue, I'd most likely concentrate on your 9-10-9-24-2T mostly. I've seen some go over 1.65v but not 1.7v. Personally, the risk of going over 1.65v outweighs any benefit.

In the end it appeared that 1866mhz 9-10-9-28 1T on 1.575v was not stable, crashed on a 3hour Prime95.

Now i just put it on 1866mhz 9-10-9-28 2T 1.6v and running another Prime95 run... And think i just leave it there thumb.gif
