How long have you been lurking on OCN MaLDo?
And why haven't you come to my house for Nutella sandwiches and checkers?

If somebody has problems with highests levels of AA is because those use SMAA injector. Maybe you have some compatibility problem because some other OSD program like afterburner, xfire, etc.

FYI, your MOD is jaw droppingly good. Followed instruction, worked flawlessly. thumb.gif

Performance for me is terrible, but it looks great. Oddly seems to struggle the most with sunlight.

You would think 2x 7970s with VRAM could handle 2560x1600.

Some texture focused screenies with no Penumbra Shadows or Particle Shadows.

Spent most of time 20~30 fps.

lower the AA & downsize textures. I hit 2.7 GB easy with 1920x1200. Also try turning off high rez textures in game to save some ram.

You running the cards at stock?

Why would why I lower image quality, that's the whole point of the mod. Don't forget you have to divide VRAM by 2.

Cards are at stock 1000 MHz, but it doesn't matter, they are not getting 100% utilization so overclocking would probably maintain the frame rate but lower utilization further.

Those are the recommendations from the creator of the mod. Yes I have not tried xfire with this mod yet, 2.7gb on one card.

Runs fine with 1 card for me so something is up with your config. Must be a ram issue at such a high rez.

If you are not using CFX.... which I don't know why you wouldn't be... its just a case of drivers using what is available and caching to VRAM. More than likely not how much VRAM you actually need to run it.

Neither of his recommendations are really necessary for my hardware. I anticipate it is a bug. Those screenshots inside prior to the sun being turned on are roughly 60 fps, the second I step outside and face the sun I take to 20-30 fps, I turn the opposite direction its 60~70 fps. Its simply a bug for ToD / SSAO / Sunshafts.

Besides I have AA turned off and MLAA forced in console at 4x. Disabling ML and AA does nothing for the framerate.

Edit:
Running a single card with these changes? I find that hard to believe, however, we probably just have different settings. How about a screen shot with fps that is similar to the ones I just took of that second level, with these settings (minus the frame rate limit of course wink.gif

And make sure to reload the MaldoHD mod once you are in the main-menu. It doesn't launch automatically, even if you run from the game via MaLDoHD config. I discovered that when I started taking screen shots that look pretty damn similar to the "HD Patch." I knew something was up. Regular Crysis 2 HD DX11 on Extreme is anywhere from 60~160 fps.

Unfortunately my interest in this game has diminished by now (replayed it like 4 or 5 times now), but these pictures look darn sexy. I have to give props to Maldo.

No your settings are quite different to mine. I will post up mine and try get some similar screens for you when I get home or this weekend. But yeah your resolution and settings are quite different from mine.

Anyone that doesn't think Crysis 2 is now the best-looking PC game to date is officially blind. Thanks Maldo! thumb.gif

Yeah I also don't get full GPU-usage when outside yet the framerate dips considerably. Inside I'm at a constant 120fps, outdoors it drops down to low 60's for some reason though. I have DX11/High-Res and everything On/Maxed except Particle Shadows, LOD Ratio, and the View Distance. VRAM usage stays at a constant 2024MBs, but lowest framerate I've seen so far is 60fps, when looking at sunlight. 680s running in SLI at 1300mhz/6800mhz.

After seeing how it looks I just have to play it through again. Was going to wait until Crysis 3 came out and then replay 1 and 2 right before starting the 3rd but I can't wait. I'm definitely going to use that 'Donate' button Maldo. First time I'm ever going to donate to a modder, but you are definitely deserving. Oh and please fill out an application at Crytek and put this mod on your resumé redface.gif
